The Story

β€œArt is expression. Art is a means to work through and to experience life. Art reflects the soul.

My inspiration comes from what I see and what I hear and what I feel. First, I see, hear, and feel. Then I paint for the wall. Those paintings inspire art to hang on the body. Each painting is a combination of acrylic, watercolor, pen and sometimes liquid gold.”

A Little Bio

After the death of her son in 1992 Patrice began to doodle during meetings. The drawings progressed to water color pencils with watercolor paper cards while she was traveling for work

She has studied with MCAD instructor at Minnetonka Art Center; Michael Monforte in Sicily, Renzo Bussini in Tuscany and numerous other artist instructors while attending numerous workshops through local, and statewide art organizations.

The early work was strictly watercolor, always using more color than water. More recently, she moved to acrylics, paint pens, liquid gold. She is influenced by Klimt, Chagall, Von Gogh, Marecak and many others.

During the Covid pandemic, painting on clothing inspired by paintings became a welcome change of pace. Painting on gently used denim items was a new and interesting challenge. She had been sewing since age 11 and often altered patterns designs to fit her style. Inspired by gifts of fabric she once again began designing. Creativity has always made her life interesting with a head full of ideas for all her paintings and clothing.
