It all begins with an idea but the fabric becomes the guide. I received a gift of fabric from India. It was so beautiful with many designs in paint and embroidery. I wanted to create garments that would use all of the beauty. So I did that. Then I received a gift of fabric from Africa and then China. I started to use the fabric design to create my own with details, tabs, pockets and then I could make them reversible. Maybe you have a piece of fabric, maybe you have an idea.
